John Searle - Consciousness as a Problem in Philosophy and Neurobiology

Professor John Searle (Willis S. and Marion Slusser Professor of the Philosophy of Mind and Language, University of California, Berkeley) gave a public lecture as part of the CRASSH Mellon CDI Visiting Professor programme.

John Searle is one of more important philosophers of the last 30 or more years. Among his many books are Making the Social World: The Structure of Human Civilization (2010), Philosophy in a New Century: Selected Essays (2008), Mind, Language And Society: Philosophy In The Real World (1999), The Construction of Social Reality (1997), and The Mystery of Consciousness (1990).
